Challenge One done

In my previous post I shared the exciting opportunity  I had to be guest designer for the Counterfeit Kit challenge (CKC) community. Finally I am sharing my scrapbook layout I did for the first challenge. Each month the groups designers come up with several challenges to encourage us to get creative. As guest designer this month my creation (the layout below) can be found on their website which was very exciting.  You can check it out here alongside other great layouts from members of the CKC design team . I’m always so inspired seeing what they have created and love learning new ideas.

In The first challenge we were tasked with using tags or labels on a layout. This was a great opportunity to use some cardstock tags in my kit and some very old acetate travel tags I have had for years. They made the journey home with me from Colorado nearly 17 years ago when I studied abroad. Definitely good to finally be using them.

Embracing colour and frames

Another layout I created over the last couple of days uses more of my July kit. It was fun to play with frames as backing to my photo and use lots of bright summery colours. I tried to pick up the colourful bold stripes in my little one’s jacket. It is good to get these photos scrapbooked for her album. I have been working through her baby photos documenting our adventures. It is fun to look back at how much she has changed and get some creative therapy in at the same time.

All that is left to do is add some journaling telling the story of our trip to the farm. She loved seeing all the animals. Love this moment shared between my husband and little one. All smiles taking in the cows. Its a wonderful reminder to enjoy the little things. As a child we are mesmerised by the smallest or simplest things.

Would love to hear what you have been creating? HAve you tried anything new?
